For the second consecutive year,
Indiana Young Agents Committee wins
IIAA's highest young agents award
For the second consecutive year, the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana was presented with the 2001 Outstanding Young Agents Committee of the Year Award. Announced at IIAA's 2001 Young Agents Leadership Conference in October, the award recognized the Committee for its outstanding efforts in the areas of political involvement, membership development, state committee project, Young Agents meeting and communications, in addition to its promotion of the independent agency system.
Several other state groups were also recognized for their achievements during the conference, which was held in Hawaii in conjunction with IIAA's InfoXchange.
The Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina earned runner-up in the Outstanding Young Agents Committee category and was honored with the 2001 Outstanding Membership Development Award as well.
For their joint efforts in coordinating a regional Young Agents Committee conference last year, the Young Agents Committees of the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma, Missouri and Kansas were recognized with the 2001 Outstanding State Committee Project Award.
The 2001 Outstanding Communications Award went to the Young Agents Committee of the Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West. The Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia garnered the 2001 Outstanding Young Agents Meeting Award. The 2001 Outstanding Political Involvement Award was presented to the Young Agents Committee of the Independent Insurance Agents of Kentucky.
"These young people recognize that a successful independent agency system requires dedication beyond managing customer relationships at home. They work to improve our system through extraordinary volunteer efforts, becoming involved with IIAA's political efforts, overcoming obstacles and doing whatever else it takes to ensure that we will be there for our customers tomorrow and the next day," said William F. Hofmann, III, CPCU, CLU, AAI, CIC, LIA, who was IIAA president at the time of the awards. *
