Venture Insurance Programs

Venture enhances industry-leading programs...including, among others: resort destinations, golf and country clubs, coastal property, inland marine, and technology firms

Golf and country clubs

The Preferred Club Program®, our flagship program, continues as a leader in insuring golf and country clubs across the United States, and now insures 10 of the nation’s top 18 golf management companies. We’re excited to announce that Mike DeMarco joined Venture in August as executive vice president of the Preferred Club Program. Mike is no stranger to the Preferred Club Program. He was directly responsible for this program while working as the commercial lines manager at the Chubb Group of Companies.

Destination resorts

We have just launched The Suitelife™ program as an all lines solution for destination resorts, combining the expertise of the Preferred Club Program and the Venture hospitality program, which has written resorts since 1998. Available in all states, Suitelife targets golf destination resorts, spa destination resorts, and general resort destinations designed to attract the business conference trade, sports enthusiasts (hunting and fishing, golf, tennis, fitness, etc.), and the adult leisure travel market. Chubb will provide a primary market for Suitelife and additional “A+” carriers will be made available in the near future.

Hospitality

Venture Insurance Programs formed a risk purchasing group (RPG) that will offer umbrella coverage for golf and country clubs and destination resorts. The RPG, called Venture Hospitality, Inc., will provide umbrella coverage with limits up to $100 million, including sub limits up to $10 million for herbicide/pesticide, D&O and E&O coverage. This RPG will give clubs and destination resorts an opportunity to obtain higher limits and quality umbrella coverage at a lower cost.

Military housing

We expanded our military housing program as an all lines solution called HOMEBASE™. First introduced in 2006 with tenants insurance for privatized military housing installations, HOMEBASE has a proprietary guaranteed cost package of workers compensation, general liability and auto liability coverage through Travelers National Programs. Additionally, we offer all lines with property, professional liability, directors and officers liability, inland marine, crime and umbrella coverage utilizing markets with Travelers and other carriers rated “A” to “A++” by A.M. Best.

Technology and life sciences

In response to the current economic pressures of the marketplace and feedback from our brokers, we increased commissions on all workers compensation business placed through our technology and life science programs. These programs are all-lines insurance and have risk management solutions available in all states through a network of premier carrier groups.

Specialty property unit

We are pleased to announce that Michael Rogers has joined the Venture team as executive vice president and managing director of a new specialty property unit, a start-up program specializing in the production and management of a property and inland marine book of business. His primary focus will be coastal property, but Mike will also serve as a property expert to other Venture programs. We expect that he will use his knowledge and carrier relationships to help round out our company accounts in golf, hospitality and other programs.

Risk management

Supporting our programs are the risk management services of IRISK Solutions (www.IRISKSolutions.com), a new independent risk management consulting firm that uses an enterprise risk management approach. IRISK has roots that date back to 1994, when Venture launched the Preferred Club Program to stabilize and improve the availability of insurance to the golf and club industry. Now we’re happy to be the first client of IRISK Solutions, which was launched as an independent firm this past January.
